" 'I love truth,' said the Professor Verity, 'and I hate lies. I love good people and I hate bad people. I love peace and I hate war. The Truth Machine loves truth , good people and peace. It hates lies, bad people and war.'" (p.4)
One day, a Professor whose name was Verity invented a truth machine. It was a great thing. He told a journalist the success and asked to publish that. And he wanted to test that machine, so he gathered three subjects. They were a wife, an inspector and a doctor. They had own troubles. The wife doubted that her husband had an lover. The inspector wanted to know whether criminals told lies. And the doctor wanted to know whether there are spies around him. However, Professor collected some money from them... Was the machine able to solve their problem?
